Description: ROLEX AIR-KING 40MM
Pre-owned ROLEX AIR-KING 40MM (2023) is a fascinating watch to study and collect. It hails from the broader Air King collection, which came to market decades ago and features a very different design set than what we’re used to today. While the original model was more akin to a traditional dress watch, ref. 126900 is more closely associated with a sports watch. Rolex introduced us to the sportier aesthetic in 2016 via ref. 116900. Ref. 126900 is an evolution of that watch, featuring a similar Bloodhound-inspired dial but now with a fully-lumed display and a zero added to the “05” marker for better symmetry. Rolex also upgraded the bracelet to include the Oysterlock safety clasp and added crown guards to the case.
